Very well-made counterweight. Beautiful finish. Very smooth thread. For those considering this counterweight for balancing on the z-axis, it is important to note some key limitations. First, the counterweight might interfere with the telescope because of the wide diameter. Then, it might be too heavy for that application. I had purchased this counterweight, together with the DCW-SM- D, for balancing an RC8, both in DEC and on the z-axis. The z-axis didn’t work at all: I would have needed a counterweight half he diameter, and half the weight.
