The small saddles with their single fastener that comes with the AZEQ5 is quite nice for a small solar scope or other short light weight OTA, but if, like myself, you want to put a longish or a heavy 4 inch refractor such as an older Takahashi or in my case a C8 carrying a finder etc, then you will feel much secure if it is being carried by this ADM saddle. A quality product that fits snugly into the AZEQ5 mount. It is not difficult to fit but some instructions on fitting to this particular mount would have made me more comfortable when I started. If you have a typical AZEQ5 package you will likely also wish to have a secure tripod fitted as well to get the full benefit!
